Brakes Faults & Remedies

Fault Reason Solution
  • Brakes and clutches not working.
  • The coil is broken
  • Measure the coil resistance with the multimeter or resistance meter. Contact us if the coil resistance is too high or too low.
  • The coil is short-circuit
  • Measure the coil resistance with the multimeter or resistance meter. Compare the measured value with the required value. If the resistance is small, replace the brake with a new coil.
  • Check the housing with coil contacts with the multimeter or resistance meter.
  • If there is short circuit in the housing, replace the brake coil.
  • Check the brake voltage(if the rectifier is broken, the voltage is too low or there is no voltage).
  • Electrical connections are faulty or broken
  • Check if the connections are correct.
  • Check the cables for disconnection.
  • Brake inoperative
  • The rectifier diode is defective.
  • Measure the DC voltage of the rectifierwith the multimeter.
  • If the AC voltage is zero.
  • Turn on the voltage.
  • Check the fuse
  • Check the connections.
  • If the DC voltage is correct.
  • Check the rectifier.
  • Replace the defective rectifier with the new one.
  • If the DC voltage is too low.
  • Replace rectifier.
  • Check for a short to ground between the coil ends and ground.
  • If the rectifier deteriorates again, a short circuit between the coil and the body cannot be measured. Replace the brake coil.
  • Very thin
  • Brake was not changed at the required time
  • Replace the brake pad with a new one.
  • Supply voltage too high
  • Not suitable for voltage brake rectifier
  • Select the voltage and rectifier according to the brake voltage.
  • Supply voltage too low
  • Not suitable for voltage brake rectifier
  • Select the voltage and rectifier according to the brake voltage.
  • The main AC supply does not come on.
  • The rectifier is distorted.
  • Replace the rectifier with a new one.
  • The fuse blows.
  • Check cables and connections and install new fuses.
  • The lining is worn
  • Check the pad, replace it with a new one.
  • Brake audible operation
  • The drive gear may have been dislodged
  • Disconnect the brake from the engine connection cover to ensure that the gear is fixed in place.
  • Cooling is not sufficient if the brake is not cooled.
  • The brake must be turned into a cooling type.
  • Brake warms up
  • The diode is faulty. The brake lining is working friction-free.
  • Check whether the diode replacement brake works properly
